President Clinton signs into law the Gramm-Leach-Biley Act, which permits affiliations among banks, securities firms and insurance companies. Repealed Section 20 of the Glass-Steagel Act of 1933.

Ohio Farmers Insurance Company is granted a charter to operate a Federal Savings Bank.
February 7, 2000
Jon Park employed by Ohio Farmers Insurance Company to develop a banking strategy, obtain banking charter and hire a team of exemplary bankers to launch Westfield Bank.
February 5, 2001
Westfield Bank begins operations with $11 million in capital invested by Ohio Farmers.
July, 2002
Westfield Bank moves into its new building at Two Park Circle, Westfield Center, Ohio.
December 31, 2003
Westfield Bank passes the break-even mark and records a profit for 2003.
November, 2003
Westfield Mortgage, a subsidiary of Westfield Bank, move its home office to Independence, Ohio.
